    Hi all,

    I have a Diplomat 610 AHY3610 & the grill just stopped working.
I (incorrectly) assumed that the element had gone and bought a replacement (thank you for very prompt delivery!), fairly easy fit, but to my dismay I find it still not working. 🙁
Any ideas as to what to check for next?
There’s a small thermal cut out on the top of the oven iside the control panel that seems to be linked to the temperature dial on the grill. Could this be at fault?
I’ve tried to check continuity (with the power off) & the switches all seem to work correctly. The dial lights up with power on, but I get nothing on either the full or half grill setting.
Could someone please help, I can’t afford a new cooker. The wife might have to go next door for her bacon sandwich on a Sunday morning! :rolls:

Not sure if it is or not but if its a Stoves build diplomat oven they have a microswitch on the internal of the door hinge, sometimes they are gone and sometimes the support they are screwed to needs bending back into position, means removing the right hand side panel.

    Re: Diplomat 610 Grill Fault

Well, I got a bit brave last night & started checking through the switches with my multimeter.
The continuity across the selector switch is ok on both grill settings, but there’s no power on either side when the temperature control dial is on.
There’s power to the grill control dial but no power out ( to the main selector switch).
In my logic, that means I’ve got a faulty temperature control dial or I’ve got a door microswitch failed. Not sure about this one though as I think the grill worked with the door closed or open.
Anyone know if I can get a new grill temperature control dial & if so how much?
Can the old one be dismantled & fixed?
