    Does anyone know what the warranty situation would be with appliances purchased in Europe and brought to the UK – either directly from a shop or via the internet?

    The reason I ask is that I’m after a Siemens Liftmatic oven (or the Bosch/Neff/Gaggenau equivalent versions) – UK price is about £1800, but I can get the same oven for about £800 from Germany (including shipping).

    While I’m at it, why do we put up with this horrendous price disparity?

    Usually the ratings will be different and service difficult, often horrendously so if at all possible. Although under EU rules you are supposed to get it. Practically though, I would strongly recommend against it.

    On the price difference, who knows. 😕
