Problem with this thing which looks like an indesit in the way it’s held together. Thermal overload (red button reset) trips out on rinse (70degC).
Presumably I need a 70 stat but all MFI extracare can come up with is a “thermolimiter assy”,part no. HO16248. Anybody know if that’s what I need?

    Thanks Chris,
I think that thread refers to the overload stat (78deg).
Anyway I’ve decided to go for a thermolimiter assy from connect which is 5045171919145 at £12.44. This equates to HYG1980120800830 I think, and also fits Diplomat ADP8152 and Baumatic BDW6 apparently.
I’ll post results as and when as it’s o.o.s.
    Mike.
PS Isn’t it wonderful how every query posted here adds to this vast databank of knowledge. If ever I need this info again it’s quicker to find it here than in my own parts ordering history. Take another pat on the back UKW!

You could try 49008877 – that’s the Candy/Hoover thermostat number.

    Re: Hygena AHY8122 thermostat(s)?

Wasn’t keen on ordering part without pictures etc. so went back to job and took off stats and brought them away for testing at home.
The stats were mounted in a row of three in a black plastic bracket which clips onto the edge of the plastic sump. Springs within the assembly hold the stats against the stainless tank base.
Stats were 50 N/O, 62 N/O and 78 N/C labelled on their faces. I checked their operation with a thermocouple and fan heater and they were all OK.
I then ordered some equivalents from RS for a lot less money and cracked open the old ones to check for burnt contacts. The contacts were all clean.

Returned to job and fitted new stats and with plenty of heat transfer compound. In doing so, noted that the stats were not making contact with the base very effectively so perhaps that was the cause of all the problems. Left customer to test it and send payment if successful. Cheque arrived a few days later and that was a week ago so hopefully all is OK now.

Thanks again for the help Chris,
    Mike.
