Brokenagain
ParticipantHi
I have attempted to search the forums with no luck.
The door lock lamp has burnt out.
The dial clicks around with 10 flashes.
Is this a result of just the lamp burning out or is there likely to be a further fault?
I phoned Indesit to get a replacement lamp. Their diagrams/list say that there are 2 lamps available 12v or 230v. They were unable to say which I needed and said they would call back after checking. That was 4 days a go – no call back yet…
The lamp which burnt is unreadable, but the other one is 12v…
Can anyone help please.

Participant10 flashes is a possible pressure switch/pcb fault
there are 2 lamps, and u can tell by the thickness of the wires, if its a thin wire, with a small plug, then its idc, hence 12v… if its thick wires with spade terminals, its 240v
surely indesit should know this via the serial number, and its very important if your gonna change the pcb (and eprom)
id be more worried about your f10 fault rather than a lamp tbh
its usually the pcb
hope this helps

Thanks for that.
I thought it was probably 12v as it has the same style connector (fine wires) as the other 12v lamp.
Do you know any way I can determine whether it is the pressure switch or module without replacing either first? Is it possible that the door lock lamp being out may affect the pressure switch circuit? (wishful thinking!)
I am not going to change the module as that will be too expensive – the washer cost only £200 just over 3 years ago. It makes me sick to think of the waste, but….
Thanks for your help

Participantits usually the pcb, and with that, you’ll need an eprom, or probably lookin at £90 + for both parts
typical merloni rubbish, bin it and buy a bosch if u can afford it
