I used to sell a lot of Whirlpool machines as I was a Whirlpool Stockist but now I don`t sell any but mainly because of the price of their spare parts…. and they weren`t the most reliable.

    I have sold a few……no problems YET!

I must say though, they are easy to sell because of the features. There are not many machines that will do a quick thirty minute wash AND finish it with a 1200 spin.

Features are no good of course if the reliability is pants!

Whirlpool replacement part prices are the highest of all in the trade bar anyone. They are the yardstick for all that is wrong in this industry but are surviving right now on borrowed time. There is a lot wrong at Whirpool HQ right now. 😈

They are struggling in the world market, their market share has taken a dive big time since their aquisition of Maytag last year and are wide open now for takeover. 😯

So anyone with a vested interest in Whirlpool needs to keep at least one ear on the ground, things may change with the Whirlpool Corporation sooner rather than later? 😉

You are not kidding, I looked up the price of an oven fan motor for a Whirpool last week, similar size the the £25.00 Hotpoint/Creda motor.
    Whirlpool price £172.00 😯

    Dishwasher facia panel £117.00 ?

There has been trouble brewing ever since whirlpool got their hands on Philips. There they aquired a trusted company with a excellent engineering force and over a period of 8 years run it into the ground in the process loosing nearly all of the quality engineers and supervisors that they had. The Result ? They decided to outsource the work and look where that got them, I am not having a go at any of the independants here that may do work for WP, but the since this work was outsourced to franchise the work standards have gone down along with the product and coupled to the extortionate spares pricing its difficult to understand what the next chapter will be as far as Whirlpool is concerned.

They have become an extremely unhelpful company and it would be fair to say that they have no interest but contemp for the like of us.
