    The dishwasher wont start and fill. It makes a noise and the inlet pipe vibrates but does not fill. Can anyone suggest what we should look at?

    The water is actually turned on?

    yes although the pressure has been variable from extreme high to low while water board have been doing street repairs. if this is relevant?

    If the fill pipe itself is vibrating, it would suggest that the inlet valve is open….. The drain pump isn’t running at the same time, is it?

    to be honest haven’t a clue – where in the soviet republic of yorkshire are you? looks like we might need an engineer near Barnsley ! 😕

    I just wonder if the water board have been doing work, they may have ‘posted’ some muck along the pipe in which case check the inlet filter 😉

    The inlet filter appears to be fine and clear.
