Where to start. I have a Whirlpool ADP746 not high class but effective. Until it leaked, wont bore you with why it was not fixed at the time, but that was a year ago. Lately I thought, it is only a seal how hard can it be to replace.. apparantly.. very! and to cap it all I don’t think that what I bought is the right thing I think I need a gasket. My problem is I took the white front panel off to get to the …seal.. a friend helped me take the door… off well that’s not what I thought we were doing but it is what happened couldn’t get to the seal any other way, friend went away. I discovered that what I had was not what was on the machine, phewwww.
I thought put it back together again mmmm no, door wont fit cant get the bolts to hold it in place … well really I am not sure that I am putting them in the right …spaces, cause my friend took them out. It is not a new machine It is not worth spending a lot of money on, but the door is lethal, as it is I cannot even bin it. It is a shame cause it worked fine if you don’t count the leak. I am embarrassed to call out a service engineer and is it worth it. This sound ridiculous but really does anyone have a reasonable suggestion 😳

    Yea,

I actually thought that might be what a sensible person would say,
Not that being sensible has ever been high on my list of priorities,
but I am not deliberately dangerous either. Really sorry you are not nearer Glasgow since you obviously know what you are talking about.

    Thank you 😳 :rolls:
