the only common leak point is where the air break joins into the softner unit in the rh side panel. Usually justs wants taking apart, clean the o rings and a bit of vaseline usually does the trick.

Is that a Smeg problem, common on Brandt though.
Thanks to both, will find out tomorrow.

Hi Jim
I’ve had a couple of wash pumps literally dribble water out when running…and some of these have a factory-moulded hole in the base pan right alongside the flood float 😆

Called this afternoon, definitely leaking from right hand side of door quite badly.
Stainless spray arm perfect, water level OK, door appears to be closing correctly.
So, does anyone know the number of the door seal for this machine, it has two separate pieces at the bottom on either side as well as the main seal.
Approx cost would be nice as well. 🙂
Jim.

Hi Jim,
from diagram of D/W Seals as follows tub seal SMG754131013 £7.70, says you also need to order door seal blocks SMG766330721 +SMG766330722 @ £1.88 each, seal along bottom of door or on tub SMG754131106 £8.40 all plus vat from Connect. I would suggest you call Smeg spares on 08704215982 as you will get trade discount on your credit card. HTH 😉

Thanks for that Alan, My firewall and Mailwasher have both flagged up the file you sent as a virus. Must be a Smeg virus doing the rounds, will check it out after my usual Wednesday thrashing the small ball around the court. 😀

can tighten door latch at top to pull in door. IME very unusual to have a leaking door seal.

Did try that but it was still leaking very badly from right hand side.
Must admit that in almost 35 years of dishwasher repairs I can count the number of door seals actually faulty on one hand.

The second attempt came through fine. Although my AV software gave the first file the all clear it was only a shortcut to a file and not an Acrobat file.
Thanks again.Jim.

Bottom edge of tub tray can bow outwards – try pushing it back in until straight. Seen similar a couple of times.
