ParticipantI went to this beast today and there’s power to the Module but no-ones at home? No physical damage that I can see on the board? No lights on the front panel except when I turn it on and all LED’s light up for a nano-second then go off…dead!
Turn the power off and back on again….nothing. Disconnect the Pressure switch then reconnect, turn the power back on…the panel LED’s light up for another nano-second. Do the same to the interlock or motor or heater and the same again, a nano-second of life is all it can muster. 😕
Nothing works or attempts to work, just nowt! The beast is only 18 months old but has only been used for 4 months since the landlord installed it in this new flat of his. :rolls:
Obvious question now…..is it the Power Module that’s up the creek?

KeymasterMartin, can you measure for me what DC voltage do you have between 1&8 on memory chip? you should have there constant 5Volts.

Thanks Baron, but I have to say I wouldn’t know a “Memory Chip” from a microchip to be honest. 😕
Besides the machine is 25kms back down the road from where I am and I do not plan to call back, take the module out and struggle with my multimeter probing around the module…..sorry! But thanks anyway. 🙂

KeymasterDid I understood that you have with you module?

KeymasterAt least take down C5=22uF/400V and measure him (change him anyway)… this is the part which make this kind of symtoms or power source chip (noted U8=TNY264).
PS. I2C memory chip… U3=24C64 (microcircuit with 8pins around connection for hardware key).

Check and make sure non of the option buttons are jammed in as I think this will give you the symptoms you are describing. 😕

No the option buttons are fine, I released the Programme module to have a close look at that too and it seems fine. The m/c is effectively only 4 months old and from what Baron says it appears my concluding that the Power Module is faulty is about right.
Sorry Baron but I’m not into repairing or testing modules, I wouldn’t dare. My attempts at messing with a soldering iron are basic in the extreme. That’s a job for EMW coming up methinks?
Thanks guys anyway! 😀
