    Hi All

wonder if anyone can help me out with a fault on the above machine.

when the machine is put onto any wash cycle it fills etc ok, but when it comes to drum rotation the drum just rocks back and forth and the motor sounds like it is struggling to turn, it eventually stops and the machine is left with water in it. I think the machine had a new motor fitted about 8 months ago. I should say that i dont have access to the machine as it belongs to my son and i live on an island and he is on the main land.
any help would be greatly appreciated. thankyou

does the machine have a long black motor about 18 inch long if it does there is a capacitor bottom right side of the machine, you will need to swing open the front of the machine there are 3 screws around by the door seal & 2 around by the soap box & one clip behind the filter flap door
just pull the whole front open, down the bottom right there should be a capacitor about 6 to 7 inchs long silver in colour, cant remember what uf it is (left Miele about 10 years ago) replace that first, let me know

I believe that main PCB is out because has comutator motor. But with little chance (one conder to change) problem will be solved. I tell this because can be also from other parts from PCB. If you look on PCB you will find one long blue 47uF capacitor( legs are on extremities of capacitor). Change him…. and see that you’ll be happy!!! 😳 😛 😛 😛

thanks very much baron, i passed on the information you gave me to a local engineer that my son called out and you were 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} correct, the capacitor cured the fault 😀 dont know if you read these forums alan but if you do thanks for doing the job and charging a very reasonable rate.

    regards
