❓ Anyone know if any it is possible to obtain a new built in double oven with a side opening door for the main oven.

Not that I am aware of I`m afraid. However I have done a few of the single ones in the last few years. One customer had a bespoke housing made and had two singles one over the other and another had two singles side by side. Or another option could be a single oven with a combination built in microwave at the top, it still gives that double oven look with the side open oven in under 😉 .
If you decide on singles, this lot produce them, AEG Bosch, CDA and Siemens .

Don, what about Gagganau? do they still do those heavy buggers that have side opening doors 😕 😀

They do indeed I had forgotten about them, It`s me age you know 😆 .
A bit bigger on physical size compared to UK housings, oven info here I can`t find a Lux one Wilf only the AEG single.Don
