Can someone help? The fuse for the cooker ttripped last week and after resetting the fuse I noticed that the grill and top oven will not heat up, the temp light comes on ok. Do both elements need replacing or could the fault be elsewhere. If so where and is it easy to replace. The main oven still works ok

    Thanks

    Hi Richard,

It could also be the switch or even possibly the thermostat. It is unusual to get two elements going at the same time.

Without having a look inside to see what’s going on it’s not really possible to tell you what you’re facing.

    hi

Thanks for the response. Last night I switched off the mains to take a look at the back to see what parts went where, tonight the main oven decided not to work. Is tripping the fuse affecting a particular part.

    Thanks in advance

Nope, the fuse tripping could be caused by any component or wire shorted or a leak to earth. Without a lot more information it’s really not possible to advice much further.

Often these kinds of faults involve the liberal use of a multi-meter to track the culprit.

A long shot but check the terminal block to see if it has links on the oven side of the wiring…i have known them to be loose from the factory 😉
