    Hi

    We have just got the same fault with our Indesit WI121 for the third time in the two years since we bought it from John Lewis online in Dec 2005.

    The door release light flashes when the cycle is finished, if we try to switch it off by turning the knob to 12 o’clock and pressing the button above it will start a cycle if the door is closed (it should switch the machine off) or the green wash light will come on and flash if the door is open.

    It behaves as if the knob was set to one of the washes, no matter where we actually turn it to and therefore we only have the option of one cycle.

    We have had the circuit board replaced twice for this fault and we’re 3 weeks from the end of the guarantee so we don’t want another temporary fix.

    Any ideas before time runs out!???

    fit another pcb….. its not a temporary fix, its just the way they are, unfortunately… theres another post on here saying that its possible clean the contacts on the potentiometer on the board, but ive never been successful
