candy freezer problem

    i have a candy freezer cpca291ffk i read a while back that the electronic control module sometimes gets a fault and i think this is whats wrong but wanna check before ordering part my freezer is working great but maybe a bit too great and my fridge is not working that well my freezer is freezeing to around -25 and my fridge is about 5-8 degrees i was gonna purchase the control unit as before this fault the freezer wasnt freezeing and my dad unplugged the defrost sensor so it freezes can anyone offer advice on what it is

    Hi CP,

    With a lot of these machines, unless you know exactly what you’re doing and how to check thermistors, you’re in the same boat as we are. You replace the PCB and hope for the best.

    Erratic temp would indicate a PCB or thermistor/sensor (control) fault as opposed to a refrigeration problem.

    where is the thermistor stat i have found one by the fan that goes onto the coil in the freezer and the fidge freezer is only 2 yrs old but was working fine the thing is if you unplug the frost free sensor then you get the fridge cold but ices up if you plug into board it doesnt do nething seems to me asif the pcb is the fault but wanted to check

    It’s foamed into the back wall, you can’t get to it or see it other than the connector off the PCB for it.
