indesit WD12SUK washer drier door seal?

Hi, I may be being a bit thick here but I have a door seal to put on but the inner retaining ring clip is the hardest i’ve ever seen. It just has 2 hooks that join but with no play. Is there a special tool for this or do you put a screw type retaining ring in its place…if so is there a part no please.
