hi guys have to look at this dishwasher tomorrow. smeg dw1710e1 when program is selected lights light up but does nothing else. the woman said there is water laying in it and it smells possible blockage in the pump thanks fasetester 🙂

any pointers from the smeg service engineers. is the pump easy to get at on these dishwashers. and can you get at it from under the door at the frount. thanks. fasetester

Drain pump at front. Remove main door outer and kick panel for reasonable access. It’s just an Askoll, so have some Torx bits handy.

went to see dishwasher today door lach broken and control panel. when shorted door switch out got dishwasher to go but would not change program. checked connections seemed ok would the door panel and lach broken have gossed the pcb. and when you take out the screws the whole thing fell apart kitchen door and all. should the not be attched on brackets intergrated appliances. :violent: fasetester 😕

It won’t change program if the door lock is shorted out.
In normal operation you set the program then close the door.
I’d suspect that the door lock was in the “made” state when they tried to set the program.Brian

hi guys what are the chances of the control card being damaged the dishwasher was not pushed in far enought and the door was catching on the kick board. each time the opened it. and the had to keep banging it to get it to work if you press the button and each ligh lights up should the board be ok. i got the screws of the lach the fell out when i removed the panel the whole panel is all cracked. and the lach had broken away from the panel. thank for any help fasetester. 🙂
