this machine tumbles fine but does not dry.
I checked the heater and seems to be ok, so i guessed it was the thermostats on the back that were faulty. i replaced these but still no joy.
any one have any other sugestions are there any other fuses or thermostats that need to be checked or a wiring diag showing me what voltages should be where

Re the wiring diagram question, http://tinyurl.com/32bf6w

There is another thermostat in the door surround, the float switch and the main control timer can also cause a ‘no heat’ situation.

You do not need to check voltages, all tests can and should be done with the machine isolated from the mains, resistance and continuity checks are quite sufficient.

thank you for that, but im quite capable of testing mains voltages as im an electronics engineer and do it pretty much evey day.

i found the thermostat in the door and it looked knackerd so i just bypassed it but still no heat will have a look at the float switch

    cheers

    Hi Andy
The crux of it is, is that not everyone that reads these forums are as technically sound as you and the trade bods on here. So when the moderators advise things its not always as a one to one reply; if you get my drift 😀 .
We have to make sure all readers in the public forums are kept as safe as possible. 😉

I didn’t imply in any way that you were incapable of testing mains voltages, I simply stated that there is absolutely no need whatsoever to live test on these machines. 😉

Float switch is awkward to get at, tucked away under the drum. TBH I have had more timers than float switches cause this fault.
