The top oven/grill on my tricity bendix won’t heat up, the light doesn’t come on. the bottom oven is fine, any ideas as to what the problem may be, could it be the thermostat?.

Probably the selector switch, Millie, as that decides both oven functions. Thermostat is also possible.
Exceptionally awkward machine to get into, so pro help may be your best course of action. Click the link below for a UKW repairer in your area.
Power off if you are going to try and investigate.

had already replaced the selector switch, just replaced the thermostat and the cooker and grill are woorking fine, not too awkward to get into just a case of being methodical, many thanks for your help

Your initial post stated that the top oven/grill didn’t work…….. I take it that the oven section is what is not working? If so you need a multimeter to check that the oven element has resistance through it when split from the circuit, and that the contacts in the thermostat make and break when selected.
