ParticipantHi chaps! Just done bearings on a Zanussi FJ1354s. Apparently didnt have any other faults other than noisy on spin(foolishly didnt try myself before carrying out bearing repair). Now when I plug the machine in with everything connected, and switch it on to a programme, the pause/start light flashes. If I hold it in, light continues to flash. If I disconnect motor, machine door locks and fills, but no recirc pump action, I can just hear faint relay clicks from main pcb. Not sure whether it could be a motor fault. Cant find out if there is any way of entering diagnostics in fault code book. This machine doesnt have a dial, just programmed from push buttons.
Help would be much appreciated.Andy Stu

Hi Chaps! Further to this, If i start the machine with the motor disconnected, it starts fine. If i disconnect motor and skip to spin, machine door locks and starts fine doesnt throw up any fault code initially. If I connect motor, skip to spin, door lock locks start pause light flashes, if i press startnothing happens, start light continues to flash. Any ideas!!

From what you say I think it likely that in replacing the bearings you may well have damaged or disconnected a connection somewhere? And the ‘Diagnostic Cycle’ may not necessarily show up? So a very close check needed to ensure all connections are sound and in order. 😉
If you would like me to email the diagnostic procedure, just let me know. 🙂

Hi Martin,
Ye! Im thinking that something has been dislodged somewhere, to much of a coincidence to be anything else. I’m going to do a re-check on all connections, but as you are aware, you dont need to go anywhere near pcb connections when taking out drum. If you could email me the diagnostics programme, that would be a great help. e,mail is info@stuartdomestics.co.uk or andystuart@fsmail.net.
Thanks again for your input.
