ParticipantMy dishwasher has just been moved in my new kitchen. Before it was moved it worked perfecly but now it does not! Could I have damaged something in the re-siting or are they quite robust? The dishwasher when turned on drains as normal but after the draining has finished it refuses to “fire up” (water fills but the arms don’t spin). I can’t find my manual so a little reluctant to start opening things up without a little guidance first. Any ideas?

Presumably, the recirculation pump is not cutting in. Can you hear a faint humming noise after the fill sequence finishes? It may be jammed by a foreign object becoming dislodged when you moved it, or possibly (unlikely) that some part of the wiring has been disturbed.
You can get a fair idea of how it’s put together by looking on http://www.bshappliancecare.com and following the Bosch spare parts links.
Power off when you go in, please.

Check you have turned the water on and not kinked any hoses, easily done with these built in appliances 😉

Thanks guys for the top tips. The hoses are all straight so I’ll go in and investigate. Thanks for a speedy reply.

Penguin 45,
I’ve looked at the link that you kindly provided for me, but to be honest I’m not too sure what I’m looking for. I guess all the action goes on at the bottom of the dishwasher. I’ve taken apart as much as I dare and have checked that the little impeller is clean and free moving that seems to drain the dishwasher. Is the recirc pump in the same area or do I need to take panels off. The diagrams in your link are all in German!!
Thanks PeteDecember 1, 2007 at 5:52 pm #235884Penguin45

Drain pump is in the front left corner. Circ pump is centre right, both under the tub. You’ll have to remove the side panels for access.
For the exploded diagrams, from http://www.bshappliancecare.com click Bosch -> spare parts -> quickfinder amd enter the eNr number.
