Hi
Both suppliers produce a 1200 and 1400 spin machine. Either brand should give a reasonable life span. Personally I prefer the Neff products as the build seems to be a lttle higher spec and for a slightly price, also comes with a two year warranty.

Do you really need an integrated model? For the same price as an integrated one, you can get a freestanding model, loaded with a better spec.

its to replace an integrated, whole appearance of the kitchen would be spoilt if we reverted to free standing
was looking at Neff W5320X0 appreciate its only 1200 spin but can be got for ~£550, other choice is AEG AEG L14510VI for £526.
which is best

Depends really, as Don said, both manufacturers are good in their field. Personally, if it was upto me, I would go for the Neff.
If you take a look in Magnet, you will find both the Neff and AEG machines.December 2, 2007 at 7:51 pm #235932Penguin45

I’d take the NEFF myself.
A budget option would be the Electrolux EWG14740W, around £430. Same basic machine as the AEG, but considerably less to buy.

Same construct, minor programme variations.
The ‘Lux heirarchy goes: Tricity Bendix, Zanussi, Electrolux, AEG. They are mostly badge engineered around the same basic units, with the exception of some of the real budget end TB stuff.

Penguin,
you are very helpful, AEG has been extremely reliable and NEFF sounds even better, if you had the pick of the crop for £600 from where and what would you buy

You can get the NEFF W5420X0GB for £600 – 1400 spin is useful – go for that!

As you said in an earlier post “Always thought electrolux the was the poor cousin of AEG, had a look at sainsburys and they list the Electrolux Inspire EWG14440W ….. any good?”
Would rather have the 1440W, however first choice as P45 rightly says would be the Neff W5320X0GB.
