ParticipantHi,any help appreciated, the machine starts to fill and the drum rotates a few times, after about a minute or so it sounds as though the machine is emptying, the control dial starts to click round and the red warning light illuminates,if the machine is left and then started on a colder cycle ie 30degress a full wash is possible,i have removed the cap at the bottom of the machine at the front and checked for any foreign objects,i removed a penny from here and retried but the problem reoccured, thanks in advance.

When the control knob starts to click round the mains light will be flashing a set number of times between pauses, you need to count these and report back, just hope it is not eight flashes. :rolls: 😥

Using this forum search facility, enter “Indesit AND eight AND flashes” in exactly that format, read it and weep.

Hi Jim,ive had a quick look at what you advised,is it the same problem as on the indesit models?,i have reset the machine having read the resetting procedure, the machine now works,is it possible that the previously mentioned 5p in the pump area could have affected the program and resetting it now has been successful, regards Dave

Same machine unfortunately, coin is nothing to do with eight flashes, it is supposed to signify that the heater relay cannot be energised but this fault has many different causes, sometimes a combination of more than one fault.
Safe to say that I don’t now waste my time going out to an 8 flash job, it has put me out of pocket on more than one occasion and I can find better things to do with my time. 😉
