ParticipantWP’s appear to be getting a bashing at the moment? And it leads me to thinking that perhaps, as there clearly appears to be issues to address in that regard, UKW should consider forming a Work Provider platform?
Cutting out the middle man and all that?….dunno?…just a thought?
WP’s represent a major slice of the action and have direct links to manufacturers after all. Massive infrastructure involved in setting up such a scheme but nevertheless a plausable project. CDSL, D&G, ISDAL etc have invested millions into their businesses and won’t take it lying down for sure. But money makes money and banks are open to suggestions in sharing and investing in the right scheme I’m sure.
Doing away with the Oliver Twist’s type plea…..”Please Sir I want more!” and turning it into a megabucks business isn’t an impossibilty but it needs some balls to get it started. 😉

It has been looked at in the past and, TBH, I’d far rather not go there if I can possibly avoid it. It’s not the business that we’re in.
The post just made was to “hammer home” the fact that while Candy or whoever can just increase their prices as they will, we can’t. And that with the increases on fuel and salaries we cannot continue to absorb the cost increases without increased revenues.
We’ll see what comments are forthcoming.

Indeed, but could I just ask? And apologies for using the Oliver Twist phraseology (but that was done so as not to give too much credence in this forum to outsiders as to the subject content 😉 ). Don’t you guys that use WP’s stand fast when it comes to increased costs in asking them for more money anyway? They must realise the present business climate what with the recent dramatic rise in fuel, pension contributions and all to at least keep pace with the Government/Bank of England inflation levels?
