It really depends on your skills with a meggar or multimeter. The heater is a known weak point on these machines. Please remove the mains plug before you have a poke around. measured at 28 ohms, which i would have said is fine for an element.
however discovered a pool of water which the pump looks like it is sitting in, possibly due to the filter being blocked and overflowing. will wait for it to dry it and see if any damage has occured.
Yes 28 Ohms is fine for element but has nothing to do with earth leakage, as Jim mentioned 😕
I dare say when motor drys out it will not trip (until the next time) they are known for flooding on a whim.
