hi guys have to check out a aeg oven the problum was that the oven cut out after it had been on for a time. then when it cooled down would come back on again. but now it wont heat could this still be the over heat stat that is stopping the oven from heating. 🙂 thanks fasetester

If it’s a proper Lux-built AEG (model numbers are very helpful), this little blighter has cause endemic problems:

thanks chris for your reply when the over heat stat is shorted out the fan should run and the oven heat is there any other stats that would stop the oven working. thanks fasetester.

    Fase,
You’re going to have to come up with a model number or a Pnc – that was a “best guess”. That sensor is not a conventional thermostat.

If you take the one with the studs like the neff elements and it’s wrong you you can always work them loose, take them out and use self tapping screws instead. I do that all the time with the neff ones.
