ParticipantIn my Bosch WFT2800 Washer/Dryer, I’ve noticed the Fabric Conditioner remains in the drawer compartment on completion of the programme cycle. I have replaced the conditioner with v.hot water in attempt to possibly clear any obstructions in the feed to the drum – if that’s where the conditioner goes – to no avail.
Can anybody suggest what the problem might be and how to rectify it please? An urgent response would be appreciated.

Yes, remove the soap drawer completely and clean thoroughly paying particular attention to the syphon attachment for the fabric conditioner mid section. (see user instruction booklet)
Before you put the soap drawer back, scrub clean the dispenser cavity especially the black gungy bacteria build-up in the mid section. Often the 4 slotted holes that flow into the mid sector gets blocked up pretty badly. The easiest way to unblock is by poking a long ‘cable tie’ through that mid section channel right to the rear of the dispenser (9 or 12 inch long cable tie is best). 😉
Replace the soap drawer and set the machine on a ‘Rinse Only’ cycle. That should flush water down the cleared channel? You may need to repeat the process to fully clear stubborn gunge?
HTH? 🙂

On my Bosch I found that using a plant sprayer (set to jet rather than spray) is quite an effective way of cleaning the draw dispenser cavity especially all the holes in the roof.
Takes a bit of practice not to get too much shooting back at you but seems quite effective. Same method also sorts out the hard to reach areas of the drawer itself – do this in your kitchen sink! Don’t suppose it would shift gunge if it is lodged several inches up the tubes in which case the cable tie method sounds best.

To Martin and Stew,
Thanx for your responses. I’ve cleaned out the drawer compartment area with a cable tie, and sprayed with water – as you both suggested. I am pleased to report it was successful and I’m favourite husband at the moment – but it won’t last. This has saved me at least £40+ (call out charge) and I’ve cancelled Fridays appointment with the tradesman.
Once again, a big hearty thank you and a very Merry Christmas to you both.😀

Black mould is the bain of my life. I too use the plant spray of diluted bleach method. That and cotton buds to clear out the fabric conditioner section. Just a thought. I use HG mould spray on my silicone sealant in the shower. Could I use it in the soap dispenser too?
