ParticipantMy son purchased this washing machine back in August and has always had some difficulty in stopping it from vibrating excessively on a spin. He has to keep readjusting the feet and even used a spirit level to check.
Its on a solid concrete floor.
It is now dancing across the floor so badly its unusable. Please can you tell me if this could be a fault because the supplier says if its not they are going to charge him to come out.
Many thanks

Has he removed the ‘Transit Bolts’ that secures the drum during transit I wonder? Whoever delivered it should have?

Yes Martin, the machine was a shop soiled model so arrived without the bolts in place, I was wondering if delivering it without these bolts could have damaged something maybe?

Shop soiled doesn’t mean that the bolts have been removed, in fact usually the contrary applies. Dealers simply unwrap machines and plonk them on the showroom floor for display purposes. They have no need or desire to remove the bolts in cases like this!
I’d double check if I were you? 😉

Hi Martin, The machine had already been out to a customer and been used the transit bolt holes have plastic caps on that I’m having difficulty removing, could the bolts still be under them?

No, don’t bother as they obviously have been removed I guess. I would contact the supplier and get them to sort it as there must be something wrong? I’m sure the machine is covered by the usual 1 yr warranty and their service agents need to take a look and see what’s up?

Thanks again Martin, I spoke to them this morning and they are saying that it can’t be anything to do with a fault on the machine that its an installation fault and that they will charge an extortionate amount to come out if there isn’t one.
I just need to know if it is possibly a fault or are they right?
I seem to remember a friend having similar problems and it was something to do with the suspension of the drum and it was a fault, well I think that’s what she said it was 😳

Hi
When leveling the machine are the locking nuts on the feet being tightened up to stop the feet from unscrewing due to vibration.
Check the manual for installation instructions.Mike
