Bosch T/D Elements? :?

    The Gorenje range of tumble dryer elements listed by Bosch are rather confusing? In that certain models list the element as Part No: 498557 and the element is rated at 2,700w@240v. The other is Part No: 496079 rated at 2,800w@240v. Two seemingly different elements, two different ratings, two different prices. But to my reckoning they are identical in every way, 100watts here and there don’t make diddly-squat?

    And £50 odd quid for one each has got to be someone taking the proverbial surely?

    Is there a pattern alternative? Do Gorenje flog ’em cheaper? If so, what’s the part no? Where from?How many other Bosch (Gorenje) elements are there I wonder?

    Bosch model no’s in question by the way lest you want to look them up = WTA4107GB/01 and WTA4108GB/01 respectively. 😉

    GOOD NEWS!!!

    Just thought I’d wake this thread up by saying that MASTERPART supply a jaw droppingly good deal on these elements (well their pattern equivalent at least.:wink:)

    The genuine Bosch 492159 and/or 496079 comes trade at between £46 (from Bosch) and £61 (from Connect) 😥

    Masterpart’s GJ34100 equivalent a mere £5.99 😀
