ParticipantHiyas,
Looking for a wiring diagram for the timer and some help on this one.
Timer was replaced by another engineer and another fitted the motor controller module. Machine will fill but then just sits there.
If the wiring hasn’t been messed up on the timer, any ideas?
All ideas and replies will be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

Blimey DP, Timer and module? 😯
Why-ever for I wonder? 😕
Never ever changed a Timer on one of these heaps of Balay rubbish, but Door Interlocks can play silly b’s as well as numerous motor brush, motor connector blocks and wiring harness down to the motor probs.
Check wiring around the motor carefully and for a wiring chart you’d best give Greg a PM 8)
HTH?

ParticipantIs this the one where the small motor control PCB is situated at rear lower right in machine ? ( Not working today and can’t be arsed to fire up laptop ) I’ve had a couple of these where a wire breaks right on the motor connector plug and isn’t really apparent until you actually remove the motor plug and closely examine it .
I’d check that first .December 19, 2007 at 2:59 pm #237515Martin

The very same Paul and I’m pleased we both came to the same conclusion here! 😀

Thanks for the information Martin and Paul.
To expand a little, if the timer is manually turned it will wash, drain and spin, just the timer won’t step on on it’s own.
I’ve ordered a pressure switch (more or less to give me time) but have a real gut feeling that the wiring on the timer has been screwed up.
I’ll certainly check out the motor plug and the loom down to the motor. Thanks

Thanks Greg. Got the diagrams now, got the inside knowledge. Just have to see if I can fix it now. 😛
