My Whirlpool ADP 4403 keeps stopping mid cycle. It seems to wash ok but then stops and the drying cycle doesn’t start. The power light flashes 4 times repeatedly. Any adeas?

Time-out on drain. If it still has water in, you’re looking at a blockage. If it has emptied, the level switch (the black grid in the sump) may be jammed in the full position due to crudding up with congealed fat. Plenty of hot water and a toothbrush to clean it.

Power off if you need to remove either component.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I’ve checked the waste pipe and that’s all clear. I’ve also checked the black mesh which is also clear.
At the bottom of the sump there is a small punp with blue plastic blades.
This was very hot and doesn’t sound like its turning to me. Pump is marked COD 64747.
I’ve already taken it out and cleaned the membrane but after all that It still wont finish it’s cycle and the light continues to flash four times repeatedly. I think the pump might be faulty?

Sounds good to me – hot pump motor and no drain suggests failure.

Drop an email to shop@ukwhitegoods.co.uk with the model number for a replacement pump. I have to say it’s probably too late for Christmas…….
