ParticipantHello. I have attempted to check all posts on faults with this dishwasher, but didn’t find the exact answer already there.
Dishwasher used to intermittently halt near the beginning of a cycle, beeping, and with the power light flashing 11 times, pause, then 11 times again etc. This has now got worse and happens on *every* use, regardless of cycle selected. This means the dishwasher is currently not useable.
I have run it with the door open, and observe that the sump first empties, then the water is introduced as part of the initial rinse. Water just starts emerging into the floor of the dishwasher from the sump after 5 – 10 seconds, and then the error occurs. The dishwasher then pumps out the water if you let it.
I have seen something on the forums about f11, saying that this indicates a problem with the Optical Water Indicator, but that this is not fitted to the ADP 8322.
I’d be very grateful of advice on what to do.December 23, 2007 at 1:46 pm #237798Penguin45

Worth checking the water level switch in this machine – the black grid in the sump under the filters. It’s prone to filling up with fatty deposits and giving false readings. Very hot water and an old toothbrush may do the trick, failing that it will have to be removed and cleaned rather more thoroughly. It’s a twist fit from underneath. Power off, of course.
If it doesn’t solve the problem, you may well have a problem with the computer board.

Thanks for the suggestion – I’ll try cleaning it when I get home. Can I just check – I think you mean initially to remove the filters and try to clean it by accessing it ‘down the hole’; failiing that I’d need to get to the switch from underneath?

Many thanks. The toothbrush approach worked. I still get the problem every couple of days, and so get the toothbrush out again. In a spare moment, I’ll get the piece removed and cleaned properly for hopefully a permanent fix!
Thanks again for your excellent advice.
