Participant❓ I have a problem with the power supply to the heater unit of my Neff 5225.25.
The small plunger the closes the heater microswitch does not close to complete the circuit to the heater. Throughout the cycle it varies between no pressure and some pressure but not enough to close the switch. The switch is fine with no undue pressure required to close it.
I have removed the heater and disassembled it finding quite a lot of deposits behind the rubber membrane. The whole unit seemed in good order. The element read 25 ohmns. On reassembly the heater microswitch still does not close. Water seems to pass through the heater up to the upper spray bar.
Could anyone out there shed any light on this problem. Could the lack of pressure be a blockage somewhere.
The E number is S4153W0GB/07.
Thanks

Underfilling. Clean out the corrugated hose in the front left lower corner.
Power off,

I dont seem to be able to find the corrugated hose you described. The only one I can find is the combined fill/waste pipe coming out of the middle rear of the machine. I hope you dont mind but I have attached 3 photos of the front and left and right of the machine to an email
Many thanks

On the particular machine you have, the black hose from the fill matrix to the centre of the sump is the one to clean out.

Sounds like it could be circulation pump fault. impeller worn or restricted. Poor pressure output from pump means no heat

Hello again,
Could the lack of pressure be a faulty inlet valve solenoid ?
The reading across it is 2.5k ohmns
When voltage is applied to it you can hear a humming sound but can see no action through the transparent casing.

I think the most useful thing you can do at this point is go and find the correct model number for this appliance. The pictures you’ve sent bear no relation to the numbers…….
Check for an engraved plaque on the top of the door inner or a printed label on the casingbelow the lid.

The E-Nr is definately S4153W0GB/07.
The other numbers engraved on the top of the inner door are
FD7611 230088GB-5225.25 IWHO
Thanks

Checked solenoid valve on bottom of Heat Exchanger. It was stuck in the closed position. Removed from machine and freed off valve releasing some rusty coloured deposits. Refitted and the machine works a treat. Probably would be wise to replace solenoid valve shortly would you think ?
Thanks for your help Penguin & Co.
