Hi Peanuts,
Have a read at this article on noise. 😉
You can dampen it a bit but, depending on the construction, you won’t generally make it silent or anywhere close. It is almost certain, if it’s a new-ish build, that some vibrations and noise will be heard downstairs I’m afraid. 😕

Hi Peanuts
I was just getting to the noise bit when K beat me to it 😉 must get quicker fingers lol.
Anyways after you have read the noise article take a look at the buying guide
One option could be the ISE as seen here

buy a LG but not a too fast spin try a 1200 and run it slower at 1000, and try to buy a smaller capacity drum size 6kg as the suspension is softer

lg used to have a problem with vibration, not anymore unless overloaded the 6 and 7 k models are good, they are my pers favourites, but the 7.5 and 8 dont have a problem with noise on spin as the balance system never lets it go into spin ever!!
but i really like the normal models just my opinion
