ParticipantWell Christmas has come and gone, New Years Eve is fast approaching. And for those of us inebriated sufficiently to miss the whole period, we now come to the traditional time of year when we all, half-heartedly perhaps, attempted to pledge a NEW YEAR RESOLUTION!!! :rolls:
Over 75{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of those pledges statistically fail in the first few days and weeks of the new year. Giving up the booze and fags is the tops that turns into the flops very quickly. Fortunately I have no such vices so for me, my resolution much more down to earth and realistic. A resolution that many reading my regular rantings will relate to I’m sure and based on what I sincerely believe are for all the right reasons toward all that depend directly on this trade for a living……
So here goes…..I resolve only to answer (or attempt to at least?) TRADE enquiries in future. 😉

Well, at the Xmas bash my OH asked why all appliance repair men were the same shape?
So my resolution is to become a different shape from the rest of you. 😀

Mine was to take some time out, delegate more & reduce my golf handicap in the process.
This is how I went about it….
Or rather, this is where it fell apart….One of the office staff announced she needed to go part time, another (being my other half) with my encouragement reduced her days. No problem I thought, there is still some time left for me, then I had to sack someone from the office, (Spares dept). Day off per week I used to enjoy, gone. Quick 9 holes just as it was getting light, then straight into work, gone.
Just to ensure that the whole idea was utter folly I developed a frozen right shoulder, and I’ve been told after several injections & manipulation from a chiropractor, that I may not be right for 2 years. I cannot lift my arm above shoulder height, reach my back pocket or straighten the arm to reprogramme the sat-nav etc. Fortunately the car is an auto, so I can drive one handed. Driving me mad!! Oh, and I’m supposed to rest the offending shoulder. Oh yeah!!

It’ll be the gout next, Alex…….. I was damn near crippled over Christmas and New Year. Finally got me onto some pills which work. Hurrah! I have to be very careful with my chiropractor – he an Arsenal fan and I’m a Spurs follower. I am sure some gratuitous pain is included for the priviledge. It works though.
All the best,
Chris. -
