    After its 5th trip across the Tasman Sea, my F&P 7.5kg Excellence has packed a wee sad when I fired it up.

    It will not start filling when the cycle is started. Diagnostics show that both hot and cold inlet valves are functional. In the hold+slowspin mode error code is 00000000 which I assume means no errors.
    In the medspin mode (guessing this is a switch diag mode) I am getting 01000001 in a ‘normal’ state. If I activate the out of balance switch I get 01010001. If I lift the lid I do not get a change of state ie.. it remains on 01000001.

    I am suspecting a lid switch but could any kind expert out there confirm this or enlighten me please.

    PS. all above readouts are left to right.

    Does it do anything at all? If you select spin, does the pump run, drum start to turn?

    After leaving it on at wall for a day, it actually started by rotating and filling etc.. then i lifted lid and put down again and it didnt work. Lid sensor is changing state so i’m suspecting the power control unit now.
    Any thoughts?

    More than likely Lid Switch fault ( magnetic reed switch)
    Switch located under Hob RHS
    Part # 426457 About $40.00 Aud
