    Hi All,

I have a problem with my dishwasher and cannot find the solution on this website.

When on any of the cycles (apart from the rinse one) it gets to the end of the cycle and then stops. It beeps and churns continuously. If I open it up there is water in the bottom.

If I put it on the rinse cycle then it seems to be fine – works and then empties ok. I guess it’s not too bad because at least I can get clean dishes but it’s annoying because I have to be around when it’s on otherwise it just beeps and churns!

I have checked the filter (the little round thing in the dishwasher) and that seems to be ok.

    Any suggestions!?

    Thanks all!

Three versions of this machine, Emma. One made by Bosch and two made by SMEG. Yes, I know it says Whirlpool for Ikea on the badge.

Please check round the edge of the door for the 12 digit number which starts with 8 and we should be able to narrow it down for you.

    Hi there,

I have just checked and it says ‘whirlpool for Ikea’ on the top. It is now not working at all…it just beeps twice and kind of churns. It does not have any water in the bottom or anything

    Thank you so much!

You haven’t answered the question, Emma. Check down the edges of the door for the label. It is crucial………

I have a similar problem with my DWF 417, it stops about 3/4 of the way through most cycles. Bleeps twice, then once, then there’s a clunk from under enath, then nothing.
Will work if switched to another program, not sure what to check for.

    penguin…any suggestions?
It’s just so annoying because you always have to be around when it’s on or it will just eat the eletricity/water!

    Re: DWF 417

    Hi Emma.
Yours is the SMEG machine – what you are describing seems to be a no drain problem. However, it should “time-out” and put up an error code – flashing lights on the control panel. The other reason that it will churn away continuously is water leaking into the base below. This should trip the float switch, which should again, set off flashing lights on the control panel.

If it won’t show any codes, you may well be looking at a computer problem. Due to the expense involved, at this point you should seek professonal help – this could be an expensive mistake!

Deutsche; need the same info that Emma has provided. One model number, two different manufacturers.

    Re: DWF 417

    Hi,
I have this problem with the DWF 417. It washes, then bleeps and starts and stops. I can get it to rinse then have to stop it myself. Yesterday it wouldn’t even get as far as releasing the washing tablet, though it is back to the washing and bleeping today.
The code is 8545 856 15610. From another post that is the SMEG. The only flashing light that comes up is the one marked eco. Is that a code?
    Thanks
    Carisso
