    this machine seems to let in water for a second or two each time the motor kicks in on wash mode resulting in overfill after a period of time. presuming this is a board fault but am not sure as have never come across this before any help would be most appreciated .

    Sounds more like a pressure system fault, ie duff sw, chaffed pressure hose or blocked sump /pressure chamber.

    Chaffed pressure hose is likely, movement from the tub may just be opening and closing a small hole in the hose? These were cut short at one time and very possible that they chaffe or come off altogether. You can identify it when that happens. 😯
