afternoon all,i called to inspect an AEG tumble dryer today which is normally a make that i dont attend to,however i gave in.
Model no t37320/pnc 91601113100.Its not heating, the element appears ok ,the stat above the heater is closed circuit and the stat just below the filter assembly on the inside is open circuit, should it be open circuit as im not familiar with this brand.I would be gratefully for any guideance.

    Thanks

    Hi Harley

Just had a quick look at the wiring diagram and manual on distriparts, and all I can find is exhaust duct stat operates at 72c, it doesn’t say if it is normally open or closed. The heater wiring plugs into a socket in the back of the t/d, could possibly be a suspect.

I am not familiar with the machine so will have to wait till the lads on the forum get back from their long day in the field. 😆

It should normally be closed circuit! (Rated @ 60 deg C for a vented dryer and 72 deg C for a condenser dryer by the way 😉 ) 🙂
