Set on F programme at 40c (didn’t try any others)
Machine fills, then heats and tumbles. After about 20 minutes, it takes in more cold water, while still heating. By this time I reckon the temperature is more than 40c, didn’t have the thermometer in it as wasn’t expecting to check the temperature.
Another five minutes heating and tumbling, and it pumps away, the heater is now de energised. Then it flashes the top neon of the five left hand options. FO8 which is heater/ relay. The machine can not then be turned off using the on/off button. So has to be switched off at socket.

Any clues to what may be wrong ?? Please.
