Hi, we have a problem with our integrated dishwasher, it’s a Cookers Appliance model number 800473, 3 years old.
Towards the end of the cycle yesterday, it started beeping and wouldnt stop. When we opened the door to see what was happening, the first 4 lights of the program were flashing and there was a great deal of soap suds on the floor of the washer. It seemed to be in the middle of the drying cycle, it was red hot and there was no water present. We could not do anything with the washer other than switch it off (as per the instruction manual’s extensive instructions..). When we switched it back on, we found that we could not access any of the programs, it just seems dead.

Does anyone out there have any ideas on what the problem? Appreciate all your responses.

    Thanks

    Daz

Gosh – a three year old Chinese dishwasher. This is a miracle in itself….

Foam is the clue – the machine thinks it’s full of water when it isn’t, so heater comes on until the safety trips. The foam will also make its way into the undertray of the machine, where it can trip the flood protection system.

Unplug, lean the machine back with some towels down and see if you get water on the floor.

If the machine is now revived, stop using any form of multifunction tablet and go back to powder or Fairy Bursts. These are low froth products. Also, once it’s running, never, ever, open the door until it’s finished.

And apart from that, it’s a great machine.

    Thanks for the reply, Penguin45.
Just had another look at it, there’s water at the bottom of the filter drain area, also when I took the top off the salt container it was full of water..
Will lean it back as you suggest to try and empty the water and see how we get it on…if I can get the washer out. Currently it’s jammed between the 2 adjacent units, theres also the skirting board to negotiate which cant be removed with ease due to the floor tiles obstructing it’s removal…great ! !
    Thanks again,

    Daz
