candy d/w cutlary basket

    has any one had problems with candy dfi50 cutlary basket melting. it is in a stupid place right above the heater and there is nothing pocking through holes on to heater yet this is the second basket it has melted. on the first call i changes timer tocs and heater yet it has melted a second basket.. please help this is very strange

    The only fault noted by Candy on these beasts is when ‘Rapid Wash’ is selected? This can result in water leakage next to the door hinges though? To quote Candy “…a strong pressure is created by the overheated air in the tub causing pressure build-up and leakage from the tub”. The cure is to chop great lumps out of the condenser matrix then stick a load of sponge foam on the side of the tub to deflect the steam, for god’s sake! :rolls: All typically Candy…. 😯

    Other than that and the parts you have already thrown at it to cure the problem can I suggest replacing the Pressure Switch also? They can play silly buggers in allowing the heater on with no water in the tub! 🙁

    Failing all of the above, order a taxi and book a trip for your customer to buy a new dishwasher in town somewhere! 😈
