Is it stopping at any one particular spot in the cycle, is it full of water or not, is it heating ?

OK so I guess either the heater contact in the timer has burnt out (it can be repaired by the way) or the wiring harness adjacent the door hinge has a broken wire going to the heater? 😉

OK so the next line of enquiry is the water block on the inlet valve? First question?…Is the water level matrix and hoses to it clean and clear? (especially the clear air tube to the inlet valve? Blow thru it from the valve end to be sure?)
Second question? Safety stat? (Assuming the machine fills washes and drains without probs?) then once its full and washing away merrily on the main wash and final rinse the heater should switch on after 60 seconds from F1 fill completion. Is that stat closed?

dealdd,
have you checked the door switch ❓ If it has the old style bosch switch they were prone to over heat on load ❗ There is a mod kit too. 🙂 Part no 1800544.

There was a problem a few years ago due to the “umbrella” cap on the over temp stat.
This was only fitted on the machines with only one 85C stat and caused localised heating around the stat. The umbrella cap was modified to a smaller profile.
