ParticipantCalled last week to an old customer and wrote off her 15 year old Neff integrated D/W,As she’s not short of a few bob I recommended a Miele machine as a good replacement. Called yesterday, Installed the new machine but got a call from her today telling me its not heating. Checked out the install, All ok. She called Miele who offered a service call on the 23rd Jan 😯 . Told her to call the suppliers and demand a replacement, And thats the last time I ever recommend Miele again.

Good.
miele dishwashers are succeptable to bad water pressure & this machine may not fill with enough water before circulation motor starts, the amount of water then isn’t enough to switch on pressure switch on heater, it should show a fault code..
do you know what this fault is?
timing can be extended in service mode i think which should cure the problem

Thats interesting Seamy, I only watched it for 20 Min’s on a 50c wash, But there was defiantly no heat. Seemed to fill and start wash in the usual time and customer told me that the first time she tried it the program ran for over an hour and there were no lights flashing to indicate a fault but ended with the load still wet.

The new dishwashers have the heater built-in on the pump section of the circulation motor, others had them a a long trough-flow type pipe on side of machine.
You sure its not on rinse?
They would show up a fault if not working corretly.Model num’ would be helpful.. G summit i presume

As the machine was 1 day old there was no way I was going to undo even one screw, I suggested she contacted the supplier and demand a replacement as it is a £600 appliance and the response she received from Miele was disgusting. They offered her a service call with a delay of 13 Days and suggested that she should have had it installed by one of there agents 👿 I have fitted dozens of integrated M/cs over the years and this is the first time I have come across one with the fascia panel packed separately and has to be fitted.
