    I am looking at the Hotpoint DWF70P, reported fault code AL08.

    According to the error codes the is – ‘Time out – heat’ – the element is OK and the machine is getting hot. Is this likely to be an NTC problem.

    Is the NTC on this machine the device clipped in to the right hand side of the detergent dispenser? It’s the only thing I could find that looks anything like one!

    Modules & heaters fail in equal numbers on these, NTC comes with new PCB, C00143218, not over expensive.

    About £78 retail according to connect, as you say, not over expensive……but bloody expensive way of buying an NTC!

    Just checked with Hotpoint and they will supply for £28.51 all in.

    I feel an interesting call coming on with Connect!
