ParticipantHi,
My brother has moved into a new house with the above built in dishwasher installed and the previous owner has not left the manual for the appliance. This was fine right up to last night when it stopped working and flashed 4 times indicating an error.
Any ideas on what the code means. In fact can anyone point me to a copy of the manual or at least the fault code list. I’m having a look next weekend so I cannot list any more information until then. I’m hoping it’s just a blocked pump or something.

No drain detected in the time allowed. If there’s water in the machine, you have a blockage or a pump failure. If the water has gone, the water indicator switch is probably jammed in the full position. Remove filters and find the black grid in the bottom. This clags up with fatty deposits. Very hot water and an old toothbrush may clear it; occasionally it needs to be removed. It’s a twist fit from underneath. Power off if you do need to remove it.

Thanks for the info Penguin45. I have a copy of the manual now so that will help (Thanks again Bob).
My first port of call will be the filter because the pump was making a racket and it hasn’t emptied apparently. Then I will work my way through the waste system. The downside is I cannot get a look at it until Saturday (Seven days after it packed up) morning so I think it will be pretty ripe by then. NICE. Looks like I can add rancid dishwasher wastes to the washing machine sumps already on the smelly unpleasant jobs list.
I’ll let you know what I find. Still I suppose it will make a change to looking at washing machines and cookers.

Thanks guys,
The appliance in question is working again. It was a fouled waste system, once cleaned and the programmer reset it was working again. Of course getting to the offending items was a pain but that’s normal these days.
My brothers luck is running true though because a mini bore heating pipe in the wall that was nailed by a plasterer fifteen years ago when the house was built decided to leak this week. (Insurance job)
Hopefully this is not a continuing trend for 2008!!! :rolls:
