    Hi Everybody,

As the subject really has been doing this for as long as I can remember, usually its not too bad but just now it completetly flooded the kitchen its starting to wreck the laminate in the hall way as well.

What normally happens is after the washing cycle water will p*ss out from the soap draw and if we are really lucky it will p*ss out from the bottom of the door as well.

I cant see any restriction on the drainage hose, basically this thing is almost three years old its had two paid for repairs and about seven or eight heater box replacements.

I am at my wits end with it but typically dont have huge amounts of cash to spend on a decent replacement (although I might just get something on finance if I have to!), I really want to get this thing working if any kind person could give me some tips or suggestions that I can try to stop it p*ssing water out I would greatly appreciate it.

I can post pictures or videos if that would be helpful.

    Many Thanks

    Peter

please be advise that this Brand will go into spin full of water, and water will come out of every Orifice possible tub seal, soap drawer etc.

1st thing i would advise is check that the sump filter is clear, this hose sits on bottom of tub and goes to the pump to drain hose.

I would check this 1st failing this would get a pro in as this brand is a nightmare, could be tacho on mtr that throws mc into spin or it could be those useless electonics and eprom that you machine is fitted with.

    hope this helps
    Wvm.

ps I feel sorry that were misled by probably a salesperson and purchased this brand.

    Orifice
unfortunatley doesnt include this brand in the description in dictonary, but if I give you a clue this would be where waste comes out of the human body, this imho would be what you have got in kitchen, and a big pile of it.

Yes thats exactly what its doing, I assume its not any of the electronics as it has been given a clean bill of health by the hotpoint engineers on the last 5 heater box changes.

This filter is it obvious in its location I mean if i just follow the waste hose I should find it that way right?

I have just disconnected it at the mains and plan to have a look shortly, do I just need to pull it out and remove the small access covers on the back (sorry working from memory here) and find the sump filter or do I need to remove a larger cover. I’m sure its just this filter as its never been cleaned out before and I’m determined not to waste any money on this machine and just get some decent usage out of it.

Thanks for the replies so far, I just check all the other threads but I could see much about the exact location of the sump filter.

    Cheers chaps

    Regards

Cheers everybody for your help, I located the sump filter (in a black connector type thing) and indeed it was full of fluff and £1.75 in loose change, it was completetly blocked.

Cleaned it all out put it back together and started it going, my heart sank as a H20 error appeared, then I turned the water back on 😆

    All is good

    Thanks again guys

    Peter
