I have moved this post to here, if Paul doesn’t have ISE Forum access can you make it so no1 😉
Also any chance of a download section for ISE 2 and 10 as there was for ISE 5 😀

KeymasterYes, but I’m in London on my phone ATM so I can’t do it right now. There is an updated ISE2 manual in the works though. 😉
There is a rinse hold on the 2 though.

That’ll be the crossed out iron symbol then.

Not quite, just had a close look at one a few minutes ago.
It appears that the instruction book covers several varients and it does mention a RINSE HOLD button together with the symbol, a bowl with water in and a garment suspended in it. however, there is no such button on the ISE2,
They are as Chris says, NO SPIN, symbol the normal spin twirl crossed through, ( for use with drip dry garments) EXTRA RINSE and EASY IRON ( possibly reduces spin speed to prevent creasing).

KeymasterI haven’t gotten to the options stuff yet and sorted it out fully as to what does what, but that seems logical.

Why isn’t there a photo and link to the ISE 2 machine as there is for the 5 and 10 machines, only a PDF file reference to it as far as I can see? 😕

KeymasterBecause it’s not being sold online, it is exclusive to the guys ATM.

Whilst I may be way off the mark I can think of one good reason to keep the ISE 2 ‘in house’ so to speak.
I much prefer to use my discretion when advising a customer to opt for the ISE 2. The five that I have installed to date with one exception have all gone to older ladies living alone. I would not want someone with a family, washing two or three times a day with an ISE 2 on my patch TBH.
There are customers of mine that I would not like to have any ISE machines whatsoever. We all have them, often really nice people but serial machine wreckers, I usually tell them to buy Bosch or Zanussi. 😀

KeymasterRe: ISE 2
To be fair Jim I have to say that there has been very few problems with ISE2 thus far. Whether that’s a testament to the people selling and installing the machines or the machine itself has yet to be determined but, the fact remains, that they are proving to be very good. Just how much punishment they can take, I don’t know as yet.
So far the biggest issue has been people being able to understand the instructions, which I have been and am, working on solving. But it is slow work as I am doing it properly in a proper DTP package, so whilst it takes time it will (I hope and taking far longer than I thought) look the mutt’s nuts when I’m done as well as being intuitive and informative to use.
But yeah, don’t be selling them to the serial wreckers eh? Unless it’s a 10. 😉

ParticipantHi Guys,
We are not keeping ISE 2 a secret though I appreciate your thinking Jim be keeping it away from machine wreckers.
Apart from the clarity of the instruction manual which Ken is working on, the reason why we don’t sell ISE 2 on line is logistical cost.
To hit the trade price we already have to deliver them as part of an order of three or we make a loss. To Deliver and pay for one you to install a web-sale would be £87 + V.A.T. this would make the ISE 2 over £300, which is poor value for a 5kg 2 year guaranteed machine.
Therefore it will remain as a trade only product for the foreseeable future and we hope will ultimately become a favorite for reconditioning at end of life to to the low cost ‘no mark up’ parts.
Cheers
John

Updated instruction manual for the ISE2 original fascia
That should be a bit better and explain a lot. This one will not be printed, I did this purely as a support thing as it’s better than the original slightly.
New fascia version of the new instructions
This is obviously available as a download if you need it now but this will start to come through on newer production however, due to the way that things are done, you might not see it in the machines for a while yet.
The new ISE5 one will be in the same format and will probably come in the machine from about April/May onwards but it too will be available for download soon as possible.
Sorry it’s taken so long nut I wanted them to be good and there’s just not enough hours in the day to do all I would like.
