    Hi

Had this machine for just over a year, but havent used it much due to a house move, decided to use it last week, but as it went throught the cycle (about 2/3 of the way through) it went to a fault code display of fast flashing door lock (this signifies fault code i guess) and lights 2 and 4 flashing, ‘easy iron’ and ‘1200/1600’ spin.

Does anyone know what this means?

I am guessing that as it went through most of the cycle that it means that the eeproms program has been corrupted, but would love to know for sure.

If it is the eeprom, can i just replace it? Iv had the circuit board out and reckon i could unsolder it and put a DIL socket in and epoxy the new eeprom in. Is this good practice (iv done it with car ecu stuff before.

Iv gone through previous posts but can hfind anything on lights 2 and 4 flashing, so any help at all would be gratefully appreciated.

    thanks in advance, Mervyn 😀

    yup

f05 – pressure switch stuck on full, ur machines probably just not emptying!!

now here goes… is it a new house? or maybe a new kitchen
is the drain pipe attatched to the drain under the sink?

if so, try taking the drain hose of the spout and see if the ends been cut off

other than that, your pumps blocked

let us know how u get on?

Water level switch reading full, when it should read empty. Has the machine drained? If no, check filter behind kick board (drain machine down by gravity first).

If yes, the level switch may have failed.

Power off before removing any cover, please.

Lights 2 + 4 suggests the pressure switch is stuck on full. The error codes will be displayed either at programme start up when the machine runs a component diagnostics check or at any time during the cycle if a fault occurs. In this instance it could just be a simple pump blockage or obstruction.

Whilst the electronics on these machines are amongst the most unreliable on the market it is not wise to jump in and start messing with the board before you have identified the actual fault code.

    Good evening P45. 🙂

    thanks guys

just checked pump and its clear and moving freely. blasted the outlet pipe and impellor with an airline tobe sure

the outlet pipe is connected to the sink trap (its a trap with a washing machine fitting, if that makes sense?), and thats all fine.

is it the pressure sensor faulty?

The pressure switches do fail quite often on these, a much cheaper option to try before you get down to the PCB. If the machine has been used then stood for a while it could cause the switch to stick.

Try the machine with the outlet pipe over the side of the sink if you can, this would confirm an outlet problem if it empties into the sink.

ok, i was only thinking maybe the end of the the sink trap hadnt been cut off, thats quite common when ppl move into new houses

does the pump run at all?

    i rarely change pressure switches
id be tempted to put the drain in a bucket first and put machine on an empty and see if the pump runs at all, and/or if water comes out

if that doesnt work, and youve tested the pump with a meter to ensure it isnt faulty, then its either the pressure switch /pcb

the latter being more likely, and youll need an eprom too

ahh.. conflicting reports there, personally, i dont change many pressure switches, but thats only my personal experience.. im sure others have

dont get confused , it could be the pressure switch, and its certainly a cheaper option to try than a pcb/eprom

    Evening Helo………. 😆

Dont forget the blue blank which is sometimes inside the spigot fitting.
