A child fell on the open door.. so now it won’t close, I took off the front door outer panel and side panels…cant find any obvious damage.
The door hinges are touching the lower front cover (access to drain pump) when closed, if I remove this cover the door will now close, so the hinges are at a lower then normal position, although the door lock still is in line with catch. not sure what parts I need to resolve this fault, as already explained no visual fault..cant anyone help please!!

When the door is opened , into the horizantal , does it go past the 90* point . i.e does it actually slope downwards when fully opened –

If it does , then its probably the actual inner door itself thats bent and distorted . Check the two screw heads on the lower side , inner edge of the inner door panel . These screw into the hinges . Do these area’s of the inner door panel look bent ? This is where they normally deform if someone falls/steps onto the open door.

This would be my best guess without actually seeing the door physically

Hi Paul, the door dosen’t drop below 90 degs…but were the hinges bolt up on the inner door, the flat edge on the door is slightly distorted, ..so I feel you are right and does require a new inner door.
    many thanks cheers John
