ParticipantHello,
My dishwasher Whirlpool ADG 977 (8542 977 38410) shows F2 error code on the display and won’t start.
The manual says nothing about this error, and (externally) nothing special happens (but somewhere into there should be, of course, something wrong).
What does mean this error (and, just in case, anybody has the list of possible errors F1-Fn, so to understand better what’s happening)?
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Best regards,
Orange

Tray below machine has floded and activated the flood protection. Drain tray to reset, find leak.
Power off for anything other than observation.

Thanks Penguin!
What a fast and exhaustive response. You’re very kind.
I’ll do what you suggest (maybe not right now… 😀 )
Any hope of the other possible Fn error translation?
Best regards,

Fn isn’t an error code, as far as I can tell.
Good luck with it.

Sorry, I made a mistake in explaining: Fn should be read as F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, F6,F7, F8, F9, F0 (or whatever code like this could be shown).
The manual just says something like “F4 – F5 – F6 are error codes. You should contact assistance if you get them”, but for none of them (listed or not) there is even a short description about what it does mean.
Thanks again for your patience :worthy: .

Hello,
I solved the probelm: there was no leak (also if in the bottom of the chamber there was some water, then discharged with the drain phase), but there was a problem in that labyrintic vertical plastic reservoir on the left of the machine (sorry for the bad description: I don’t know exactly it’s technical name). One of the water passages was obstructed by limestone remains (quick solved with chemical).
Now it works perfectly, so thanks for having pointed me in the right direction.
